Estella-Lizarra

Standing in the mid-western area of Navarre, it is the main town in the Tierra Estella region. Two major European cultural routes pass through Estella- Lizarra — the Camino de Santiago and the Caminos de Sefarad (Sepharad Ways), giving the town a unique multicultural character. It hosts a wealth of historical and artistic heritage. Wander through the streets and discover its many churches (mostly in the Romanesque and Gothic styles), convents and monasteries, mansions, palacetes and stately homes.

And while in Estella-Lizarra, don’t miss the local cuisine, famous for its market produce. Signature dishes include kidney beans (calbotes) and pocha beans. However, the town is best-known for its suckling pig (gorrín) and each year celebrates the “Day of the Glorification of the Gorrín”.
